Sassari used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Ramnicu Valcea 94-73 on Wednesday night. Sassari shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. American guard Desure Buie (182-1997, college: Hofstra) scored 38 points (!!!) and 7 assists (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Carlos Marshall Jr (198-1999, college: Santa Clara) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Belgian point guard Emmanuel Lecomte (180-1995, college: Baylor, agency: Players Group) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward DeAndre Pinckney (203-2000, college: Southern Miss) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Valcea's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
